Why Air Conditioning Isn't Just Air Conditioning
“Air con is just air con, isn’t it?” That was the line from a private quantity surveyor recently, when discussing a tender based on a minimal scope of works. It’s a phrase we hear often, and it reflects a common misconception: that air conditioning is a like-for-like commodity. But in reality, treating all systems as equal is tantamount to saying a Nissan and a Rolls-Royce are the same because both are cars. While both take you from A to B, the experience, engineering, and refinement along the way could not be more different.
