The Brief
Provide comfort cooling to all bedrooms, extract ventilation to all bathrooms across all floors, dedicated ventilation to the Gym.
Centrally controlled, and externally linked to Building Management System (BMS).
The SOLUTION
The sensitive refurbishment and restoration of this large detached property required constant coordination of air-conditioning and ventilation with ongoing works.
Variable Refrigerant Flow (VRF) Air-Conditioning (AC) was designed to manage the comfort cooling and installed with fan-coils mounted within structural voids and carefully detailed to integrate within the bespoke bedroom joinery.
To satisfy local planning requirements a bespoke enclosure was designed and installed to the rear garden to house and acoustically silence the three condenser units. A central AC controller provides overall management, with an external link to the property-wide Building Management System providing individual interlinked temperature control in each space. A dedicated Mechanical Ventilation Heat Recovery unit constantly ventilates the Gym when in use, while an acoustically mounted internal extract air-handling unit provides constant extract ventilation to all bathrooms, with an external connection to the local lighting system providing boosted extract ventilation in each space.
Comfort cooling uses micro fascia linear grilles and ventilation is connected to linear slot diffusers which complement the high-end interior design finish in each space.
