The Brief

Developing consultant design brief for full climate control to a private residence, through Calibre’s design development and installation coordination. Full concealed AC and ventilation, controls integrated with the home automation system, and external acoustic treatment.

The SOLUTION

For best effect ducted fan-coil units were installed to all living spaces and bedrooms, carefully concealed within the building fabric. A bespoke refrigeration system was specified to meet exact requirements for the private wine cellar to remain optimal for bottle selection or slow aging.

An MVHR system serves the Basement, incorporating attenuators to reduce sound transfer to rooms. An attenuated central extract fan unit mounted on the roof was sized to meet regulations for air changes in bathrooms and WCs on the upper floors. Slot diffusers and linear bar grilles are used throughout aligning with the architectural vision.

Climate control is fully integrated with the home automation system to enable full adjustment to unique user needs. External units are housed in an acoustic chamber on the roof, greatly reducing breakout noise to satisfy local planning regulations and protect the neighbouring area from noise pollution.
