The Brief

Detailed design development and installation of concealed ducted climate control equipment, in collaboration with the wider mechanical team. The property, situated in an already occupied residential apartment block, underwent a full refurbishment. Areas served included the bedrooms and main living areas, including a large open-plan lounge and dining area. Full site coordination throughout installation was required. Air terminals were specified to blend with a very specific interior design scheme and informed by physical and architectural constraints.

The SOLUTION

Discreet, slimline twin slot diffusers were selected in the kitchen, living and dining room, plastered into the coffered ceiling details – unobtrusive, yet complementing the geometry of the crittall door partitions separating the various rooms. In the master bedroom, attenuation to the fan coil unit (located in the ensuite ceiling) ensures whisper-quiet operation for the optimum experience.

Ventilation to the four bathrooms takes place through a decentralised extract system and slim single slots in the ceilings for minimal visual impact on the space. Working with technical constraints for the external condenser location, the unit was placed strategically in an area of roof space invisible and inaudible from the road to meet local planning permission requirements.
